Don's Christmas Ornaments

The tradition of Sarah baking Christmas cookies goes back decades, but the "tradition" of Don hand–making Christmas ornaments just started in 2022. He hopes to continue it, though, for the rest of his life.

Because each ornament is hand–crafted, no two are exactly alike. Don's goal is to create new designs each year using different materials, crafting techniques, and skills so that no two years' designs are ever alike also.

2023 Ornament

Live–edge pine discs decorated with pine cone "flowers" created by slicing pine cones collected locally and dried. Hand–tied bow and ribbon for hanging (and for a little color). Year and logo wood–burned on the back side.

2022 Ornament (Adults)

Hand–carved 3D stars cut from basswood using a scroll saw, then carved, filed, and sanded into the 3D shape. gold loop and ribbon for hanging.

2022 Ornament (Kids)

My very first attempt at personalized ornaments. Gold craft wire hand–shaped into stars using various wrapping and winding techniques to make every one totally unique. I personally chose a star for each child.
